Diversity & Inclusion
The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) embraces diverse backgrounds, opinions, and experiences in its service delivery, its workforce, and in the community at large. We are committed to providing education and taking actions that hold ourselves and others accountable while advancing our mission. We foster a professional workplace culture grounded in respect, collaboration, and accountability. SCADD does not tolerate discrimination or harassment and is committed to fair hiring, training, and advancement practices consistent with applicable employment and civil rights laws.
Tribal Territory
We at SCADD acknowledge that our buildings inhabit areas in the tribal territory of the Mashantucket Pequot, Eastern Pequot, Mohegan, and Western Nehântick Peoples who have provided stewardship throughout the generations.
We honor and respect the enduring relationship that exists between these tribal nations and this land and these waters.
We endeavor to uphold our responsibilities according to their example. As a provider of treatment for substance use disorders, an epidemic which disproportionately effects indigenous peoples, we promise to care for our community as honorably as they have cared for these lands.
